HOW DOES HYPNOTHERAPY WORK?
The Hypnotherapist guides the person to a part in their subconscious mind. Both the therapist and the person being hypnotised interact with that part of the subconscious mind to make the changes. These changes may involve ridding unwanted behaviour or thoughts; or increasing desired behaviour or thoughts.
ADVANTAGES OF HYPNOSIS IN THERAPY:
Virtually all of our behaviour, thoughts and feelings are driven by the subconscious mind. Hypnosis accesses the subconscious mind. Hypnotherapy efficiently and rapidly removes unwanted behaviour or thoughts or is able to enhance wanted behaviour. Access of subconscious & unconscious issues enables effective resolution of issues faster than in any other therapy.
WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE HYPNOTISED?
Many believe that they won’t remember anything that happens while hypnotIsed, or that they will be under the control of the hypnotherapist.
However, most people remember some of what happens while in hypnosis, and the hypnotherapist cannot make you do anything that you do not want to do.
What you will feel is a different state of consciousness. Your body will be relaxed and your mind focused and receptive. You may feel like you are in a dreamy state. You will likely become aware of how your subconscious is making you respond in ways you would rather not. People generally report hypnosis feels like deep meditation, and find it to be an enjoyable, calming and relaxing experience.
